Gillies, John

Mr. Gillies is a graduate of Harvard College, Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has worked in economic and trade development for the past 15 years working at the national, regional and local levels. Prior to joining the ITC in 1988, Mr. Gillies was the Chief Executive of Scotland’s first regional export agency where he contributed heavily to the development of Scotland’s national export strategy. More recently, he has been responsible for trade capacity building projects in Southern Africa and the development of ITC’s programme in electronic commerce. Specialized areas of expertise and interest include national export strategies, trade support networks, performance measurement in trade development, and the internationalization of small firms .      More>>>
