Dingwei
Wang was born in
Nanjing, China in 1948. He received BS degree in automation instrument from
Northeastern University in 1982; MS degree in systems engineering from Huazhong
University of Science and Technology in 1984; and PhD degree in control theory
and application from Northeastern University, Shenyang, in 1993. He had been a
Postdoctoral Fellow at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, USA. He is
currently the director and professor with the Institute of Systems Engineering,
College of Information Science and Engineering, Northeastern University, China.
His research
areas include computer integrated manufacturing, ERP/MRP/JIT, production
planning and scheduling, modeling and optimization, soft computing and
intelligent optimization. His researches had won the awards of science and
technology progress from the Education Ministry and the Metallurgical Industrial
Ministry of China. He has published 6 books and more than 260 papers in
international and domestic journals and conferences. They include 5 regular
papers in IEEE Transactions. Among these papers, there are 46 papers were
abstracted in SCI, and 68 were abstracted in EI. They are cited in many papers
of other authors on the same areas also.
He is a member
of the expert committee of management science section, the National Natural
Science Foundation of China. He serves on the editorial boards of international
journals: Fuzzy Optimization and Decision Making, Computer and Operations
Research (2000-2002), and Chinese journals: Journal of Management Science in
China, Journal of Systems Engineering, Control and Decision.
