Dr. Yufei Yuan is
the Wayne C. Fox Chair in Business Innovation and a Professor of Information
Systems at Michael G. DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, Canada.
He received his Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems from The University of
Michigan in U.S. and B.S. in Mathematics from Fudan University in China.
His
research interests are in the areas of mobile commerce, web-based negotiation
support systems, security and privacy, business model of electronic commerce,
approximate reasoning with fuzzy logic, matching problem, and information
systems in health care. He has published 49 papers in professional journals such
as Communications of ACM, Internet research, International Journal of Mobile
Communication, International Journal of Electronic Markets, Fuzzy Sets and
Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, Management Sciences, Decision
Sciences, Academic Medicine, Medical Decision Making, International Journal of
Human-Computer Systems, Human Systems Management and others.
Dr. Yuan had
served as the Chair of the Management Science / Information Systems Area, the
Vice President, Board of Directors, and Secretary of ACME (Association of
Chinese Management Educators). Currently he is the Special Advisor of MeRC
(McMaster eBusiness Research Center), the Advisor of the Chinese Speaking
Chapter of AIS (Association of Information Systems), and the member of editorial
board of the International Journal of Mobile Communication and International
Journal of Management Theory and Practice. He is also the member of the
advisory board of NovaForum, the Electronic CourtHouse. His name is listed in
Who's Who in Canadian Business and Who’s Who in Canada. Dr. Yuan was invited as
a visiting professor at several universities including China Europe
International Business School, University of Illinois in
Urbana-Champaign, Catholic University of Lille
in France, National Sun Yet-San University, and Fudan
University.
