Jing Zhao is Professor of Management Information Systems and
Director of the Center for International Cooperation in
E-Business in the College of Management at the China
University of Geosciences (CUG), Wuhan, China. Her teaching
and research interests focus on the areas of e-Business,
modeling the impact of ICT on the organizational
transformation, e-business value creation and B2B e-market.
Jing has published over 60 scholarly journal articles and
refereed conference papers, and one book about Management of
e-Business for the Enterprise.
Some of her journal articles are published in IEEE
Transactions on Engineering management, Information and
Management, the Journal of Business Forum, Family Business
Review, Management Review, Journal of Tsinghua University (Sci&Tech).
Jing¡¯s research has been published at many conferences
including the Americas Conference on Information Systems
(AMCIS), IFIP conference on e-Commerce, e-Business, and
e-Government, IEEE International Symposium on Technology and
Society (ISTAS), the International Conference On Enterprise
Information Systems (ICEIS) and the European Conference on
Research Methodology for Business and Management Studies (ECRM).
National Science Foundation of China and International Trade
Centre (ITC) UNCTAD/WTO have sponsored her research. Prior
to joining CUG, she has considerable experience in
automobile manufacturing in China.
Jing serves as editor of Electronic Markets ¨C The
International Journal on Networked business ( 2008-present)
in Germany, and Guest Editor of special issue on¡°Electronic
Business in China¡± of Electronic Markets (2007). Jing is a
co-chair for Annual Wuhan International Conferences on
Electronic Business (WHICEB) since 2000, an AIS Affiliated
Conference which, widely recognized in the region and beyond
as an excellent and fascinating academic conference on
E-Business. In the past she has held roles as the session
chair or program committee for the European Conference on
Information Systems (ECIS 2002), the IEEE International
Conference on Services Computing (SCC 2006), International
Symposium on Information Systems Management (ISM2007), the
International Conference on Mobile Business (ICMB2007).
Jing is a member of the
Association for Information Systems, and Standing committee
member of CNAIS (China Association for Information Systems).
