Brief Introduction

Since the first health related track in International Conference on Information Systems in 2011, Information Systems communities have been committed to understand and promote the role of information systems in health. Among the issues in health, health outcomes like mortality, or even many physiological and pathological indicators of diseases, are not only ultimate research goals of scholars from different academic communities, but also the important focus of human beings and their societies. With the development and application of emerging information technologies like artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, the 5th generation wireless systems and mobile internet in health, health and health industry are changing. The impact of information systems, especially the effect of information systems on health outcomes in current area, is attracting more and more attention.
